Unhappy Almost Suicidal !!

Just scrapped one of my alloys against the kerb !! My own fault, can't blame anyone else.
Just phoned the local dealer to be told a new wheel is £ 110.64 plus the VAT and plus however much the service department want to swap the wheel over.
May have a look on ebay to see if I can get a decent spare and then have mine refurbished. Any one know if there is a refurbishment place in the north west?

What!!!????!!!! They'd charge you to change a wheel????????? Outrageous, do it yourself - hardly rocket science. Or get the tyre fitters to do it when they put a tyre on your new wheel.

Oh, painful ...

Sympathies, mate.... I know it's only a matter of time before I do this too, I'm dreading it! Almost to the point of doing it on purpose just to get it over with!

(Actually, that IS a bit extreme... )

22 months into ownership here and this last weekend I noticed a 1 1/2" curbing mark on the passenger front wheel, had to happen eventually. It will make parallel parking easier now that the seal is broken. To top that not an hour latter I got onto the freeway and "tick" got a ding in the windshield the first one is the hardest to take, my condolences....

WARNING-Objects in rear view mirror have a tendency to disappear!

Here in Canada there's places where alloy wheels canbe repaired.I curbed mine (about a 4 '' gash)...cost about $80 CAD .They look brand new.

Angry

I know how you feel - I curbed one of mine last weekend , but it has made me think of getting the JCW S Works conversion + the 18" JCW alloys to match now though!!
