Question Make them shine

Would realy appreciate other MINI oweners advice on wheel care.

I regularly wash my 05 cooper, which has 16" 5 star alloys. The bodywork comes up shining after using Autoglym, but the wheels are pretty grubby in comparison.

The alloy central 5 star shape is fine, but the circular disc behind always looks rusty! Should I clean them or leave them alone? Is this rusty appearance normal? Or If nolt, what action should I take?

In addition, what is the best way to clean the tyres?

THANKS

Are you talking about the brake rotor surface that's rusty? Is it the part you see looking between the spokes?

Mine have light surface rust after every wash but they're nice and shiny silver after I drive the car.

It's the nature of the beast.

Sounds like you are talking about the brake discs! If not I think you may need to explain a little more clearly. If you are talking brake discs take it for a spin round the block then hey presto they'll be shiny!
