My new wheels are here

Just need to know what you all think after getting some daft comments from some people at the mini show at the weekend .

May selling them

Neil.

P.S...thanks to the wife for helping me clean the car at Himley hall

I have to agree, nice looking wheels but don't really suit the car IMHO.

Cheers.

Hi MINIBEE,

Cool wheels, they remind me of the ones I had on Audi A3 1.8T, can't decide whether they suit or not on the MINI, but if you like em thats all that matters!

I still think the only wheel that looks right is the S spoke, somehow they look right in my eyes. I'm not keen the latest wheels MINI are bringing out Bullets etc, if I went for another wheel it would have to be the MINI's R90 or a 3 piece S spoke.

Hey , dont worry , dare to be different.
Wheels are a very personal choice. Peer approval is not mandatory,
I say stick with them for a while and see how you feel in a few weeks time.
If you still dont like them then sell em.
I suspect once you lower it , you will like the look a lot more

I personally like these wheels, they look refreshingly different. I don't think you can go wrong with a 5 spoke wheel. IMHO you should keep these wheels. I think the whole point of owning a mini is to make it as individual as possible.
Just out of interest, what do they weigh and what size and make are the tyres?

I was at Himley and thought your wheels looked stunning. I wish all the people who say they don't "Suit" the new mini would explain why exactly and then go on to say what does suit the mini and explain that!

A 5 spoke epitomises the new mini as defined by the standard 5 spoke that comes with the chili pack on a Cooper, way before the S spokes on an S were even thought of. The s spokes ape the superlites or whatever they are called of the classic mini, while a 5 spoke is arguably the new classic wheel for the mini. For this reason the Bullet is the right choice for an S cooper, rather than aping some retro style from the classic.

Argue my view by all means, but at least i have tried to explain why I think Neil's wheels are right up there with the best. Merely saying "they don't suit the mini" is not good enough.

Rant over. Now give me those wheels at a drop down low price Minibee!
