18x8 wheels - advice needed

I really want 18" wheels but the ones that I want only come in 8" width. Nick at Lohen has advised caution due to the possibility of rubbing when carrying passengers. Now, I know that some of you on here are running 18x8's - what should I be looking out for to avoid any issues of rubbing?

Thanks

If you get the correct offset and a 215/35/18 tyre then you should be ok. Im currently running 225 tyres on my 18 x 8 wheels and the rubbed like mad when i had anybody in the back, until i cut away part of the arch lip. Ill be changing to 215 tyres as soon as my tyres are worn.

Have been told that the wheel offset is 38. Will this cause a problem even if I run 215.35.18 tyres?
