what brakes?!

hey all!

my S brakes suck! they fade after one corner...

So.... I want new brakes!

What packages do u guys reccommend? I've looked at GTT's porche ones, very nice, not so nice price! I want brakes that wont fade under alot of hard road driving, and I want them too look "bling" through my alloys. ie big shiny disc's front and back.

£1k budget.

Cheers!

Hey man heres the link for most brakes you can get for your mini.

Here

Myself, im saving a little more and I am going to do the brembo kit with the new rear discs (stage 5) Yea, more expensive.... but I am pretty happy with the MINI brakes so far. I would look into the brembo if you can.. Willwood and stoptech are good too.

Figure what brakes are meant to do, then ask the question again!

You will be hard pushed to find a good big brake conversion for under £1k. If you want quality you have to pay for it. Plus brakes are one area i really wouldnt want to save money on.

Yes APs and Wilwood are probably your best option with your budget.

in my view either replace just he pads (from what i've read will make big difference) or go for the OE JCW upgrade at circa £900

you can get them cheaper than that

although there are those usual repetative people that will post, oh you can get better, you can more for your money

The JCW brakes do give plenty of stopping power, more than enough for the MINI, the others are all overkill, and personally I want my brakes to covered by the warranty, after all they are an important part of the car
