United-Kingdom Advice Re: Replacement RF Tyre

I have the Dunlop 17" Run Flat Tyres - 205 / 45 / R17 (84V)

Found a nail in the front drivers side tyre. Pulled it out thinking originally it was a stone as the nail had a plastic head. Once it popped out I heard air! DOH! So I pushed it half way back in and drove the car to let the weight push it all the way in.

Been in now for about 4 days and no loss of air. Is it worth replacing the tyre if it doesn't loose any air? Would that be safe? The nail is on the main tread area and is buried well in.

If it does need to be replaced, does anyone know of the cheapest place for me to go in the UK, Hertfordshire area?

I'd be grateful for any help

Thanks! Boyd.

If its in the tread then take it to Quickfit and ask them to plug it. But it seems alot of garages dont want to mess with RunFlats or damage the wheels fitting them. An alternative is get some industrial rubber glue and cut the nail to about 2 cm's long and put glue into the hole then the nail back deep into it. But I didnt say that ofcourse. The nail will wear away with the tyre and will probably last the full life of the tyre.

I've still got two nails in my non runflat tyres bit im not exactly willing to spend the money to touch them when ill be getting new tyres in a few months. Not loosing any pressure at all.
