Start destination Fountains Abbey near Ripon
Come one come all
Rams
It's back again ladies and gents, and this time it will be better than ever.....
The runs previous to this event have lots of fond memories shared by hundreds of people, myself included!!!
The start destination will be Fountains Abbey, Studley Roger near Ripon
Fountains Abbey, National Trust, Yorkshire, Deer Park, Visit
This beautiful backdrop will provide the perfect arena to start this run
Start time will be 10am prompt from Fountains Abbey 30th Aug, Ripon
The event which is one of the pinnacles of the Mini2 calender, is such a fun run to organize, great roads, beautifully scenery and plenty of diversity.
I feel this run will promise to be as popular as it's predecessors, so pop your name down early.
So what will this run offer :Without giving too much away.... It covers a large portion of North Yorkshire, featuring stunning views and great roads, it boasts long straights, beautifully curved corners and views for miles, selected parking and toilets will be included!!!!!!
I'm going to try and simplify things by adding pictures to maps. I don't know of anybody else who has done this before but it has occurred to me that pictures can and will make all the difference on a route like this, I've attached a couple of snaps below of various road signs, danger points, Points of interest and Road layouts to ease the chance of getting lost. All points will be color coded
I've selected points on route where video footage WILL be taken, I've chosen these points purely to make one of the best videos yet and to try and get everybody's car on film.
I'm wanting to make a different film from following the same mini, I want to make it more professional with cut-aways to wheels turning, people enjoying and beautiful scenery all around.
I understand the ethical laws with regards to filming/photographing persons and there cars against there will, on entering this event you must be fully aware footage will be recorded , nothing illegal will be shown, and every piece of footage will be edited. Any questions or concerns please feel free to PM me.

Heartbeat 2006 Run
I'll initially limit the numbers to 100 cars, judging on the parking space and route.
Because the Heartbeat run is so big I need split the cars into groups,
1st Group: The more spirited driver
This group will consist of veteran runners, those who have done more than 3 runs.
2nd Group: Run Buddies Those who usually have been on runs before or those who have a good navigators.
3 Group Puddlers Group Run Virgins, a slower paced group.
How the run works is like this-
Because we're all following the same route the first group arrives at the first stop point, waits for the second group and sets off to the next re-group point, the second group then rests and waits for the 3 rd group and does the same as the 1st group and so on.
The notes will have approximations of rest time and should be adhered to rigidly, there is plenty of time in each stop.
There are 3 official stops including 1 dinner break, where we will all meet up together (Helmsley).
To allay any fears from the first time runners
These runs organised by myself and a handfull of M2 members are fantastic days out and enjoyed by all who partake in them.
Mini fans all brought together from different parts of the country to enjoy great roads, wonderfull scenery and a good natter.
It's also a good way to put a face to a user name!
A good mix of male and female drivers, with no boy racers
I am very passionate about good organisation and will try to answer any question raised.
Once at the first meeting point of Fountains Abbey, runners will be briefed and sorted into groups.
Try not to be late at the starting point, a reasonable amount of grace is given to late runners, but running to a schedule this time will be limited.
I have set some very basic rules in which everybody has a safe and enjoyable time on the run, anyone who I feel has contraveind any of the following rules will be asked to leave.
Rules of the run
1, Don't drive too close to the car in front.
2, No threatening driving such as honking the horn or bully boy tactics.
3, Unlawful behaviour to other road users.
4,At any of the stops, No wheel spinning, very loud music or being discourteous to members of the public.
5, It is not a RACE!!!
If you do have any more concerns please feel free to PM me.
