I have got the Scalextric MINI racetrack at home (the one you could buy from your local MINIdealer) that contains two R53 S, one Astro Black/white and one Electric Blue/white with working front and rear lights in scale 1:28 (I think it is).

I bought it for my eldest sons birthday for about a year ago and we have had so much fun with it, really can recommend it. The quality of the cars is almost like a modelcar, very detailed and nice.

After a few months I needed to have a special "dads" car, being extra careful about this and leaving the standard ones to the boys (but still use them with some care), and I got this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SCALEXTRIC-MINI-COOPER-G-DAWSON-C2773-RARE-BRAND-NEW_W0QQitemZ200315658516QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Toy s_Games_Scalextrics_Slot_Cars_ET?hash=item20031565 8516&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1688%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318

Today I looked at the Scalextric page, and guess what - they have already started to sell this one: Scalextric Mini John Cooper Works Challenge (http://www.scalextric.com/shop/cars/dpr/mini-john-cooper-works-challenge-c3019/)

That is a must have for me, since I am driving an R56 S - hopefully I can get it when I am over for United

Are there any more MINIacs out there doing this Scalextric-thingy aswell?

i love the details on that and the front air panel.
where would be the best place to get one of those, ebay or a model shop?
