Exclamation Gearbox doesnt release when pressing the brake pedal?

Hi there

Just wandering if anyone could help.

At times, i find that the cvt gearbox doesnt release when pressing the brake pedal. i have to turn the car off and then restart the engine and then it will release when i press the brake pedal.

Does anyone know what the issue is?

Just to note that when its working, you can hear definite click at the pedal and in the footwell of the passenger seat when you press the brake down to release the gear stick. When it doesnt work, there is no click mechanism

Thanks in advance

needs to be scanned see what faults are hidden away, as its cvt box prob a main dealer visit i dont know of any diagnostics are cheap money that would go as far to work with gear box, a gamble could be autocom cdp will cover a level but how far i dont know, as for the system its controlled by it own ecu and linked to the other ecu's so any of them could be blocking a signal or loose connection somewhere or just a software update which once again main dealer visit, the joys of auto gearboxes i'm afraid
