HAHAHAHAHAAH, left-foot on brake pedal, right-foot on accelerator......and the car is purrrrrrrrfect slight judders sometimes but, overall, it is soooo much smoother.

it's amazing how this little car demands so much out of you and you just keep giving without question.

dansmini - you know you ruined this thread for me. Now everytime I see a post here I can't help but think of your comment. But another thought about your comment:

...shows what a turn on the MINI is. What a sexy car!

Well, the jerking is back. After I went in and got the recall done, the jerking went away, but it's back now. I've heard of other chip upgrades in the past to solve this problem have come back like this too, such as those for the MCS. Oh well. I can live with it. It seems to only do it when the engine is cold (i.e., after start up) and I drive through the parking lot at work when I leave for the day. After the engine warms up it is fine. At least I have not had any problem after that, even if traffic is suddenly bad and I have to drive in heavy stop and go traffic on the freeway. So, it's really not much of a problem for me. I love this car too much for this to be anything important.

And so is the case for 99% of everyone else. This is normal. Welcome to the club! There is nothing "wrong" with your MINI!!!

Hey guys I have been trying to resolve this problem more than 3 years from garage to garage finally got a garage tried for me. (My mini is 2003 hatch back)
1. Cleaned the gas tank and piping, change filter.
2. The machanic took my car for about two weeks, he claimed that he has to travel far and fast in order for him to do calibration of the gear shift (Frankly I don't know what the hell he was talking about)
It actually works, my mini jerking has stopped but at the expense of slide vibrate before it takes off. I informed him about this and sent back to him but after checking again he said something about air flow problem if I bring the rpm slightly above 1 (now it is below 1 with air con full blast) will affect other performance (???)
Finally mini has stop jerking... (From Cambodia)
