is there a simple explaination? i'll take any. leak at windshield/a-pillar once ONCE observe, ice is every day. concerned as lease ends in two weeks (and a real bother).

Can only be formed if there is moisture in the car. There could be a leak or a seal gone. Could also be caused by something damp being in the car. A jacket or cloth maybe.

You need to have a feel around for any wet areas inside the car. Get right up under the dash, feel around the windows. If you find nothing try blasting the car with a jet washer and feeling around again. If you still have no luck take it to the dealer.

It was acceptable in the 80's

Yeah that's definitely a possibility. Anything that can get the interior damp would result in condensation on the interior windows.

Maybe clean the inside of the windows and/or try applying some anti fogging liquid to the windows. Try the stuff divers use on the insides of their goggles. Should work a treat

Apparently any surfactant works well as anti fog according to some of the divers sites I just took a look at. Try dishwasher fluid or shampoo on the windows.

It was acceptable in the 80's
