I didn’t go for it still have some cars to test drive but they are both good in their own ways

Just think it’s best to be open minded and keep your options open. That said if someone is set on a certain model for whatever, emotional reason, insurance, fuel costs etc. should not come into it and they should buy it regardless!!

I dont think its completely unreasonable!
At your age, that's all pretty reasonable I'd say. So Ä4 a day to go R53. Assume it is Black Eye Purple? It is a great colour and extremely rare. I know used cars are very expensive in Eire compared to here in the UK and Ä4-4500 sounds a bit scary - but think that is how it is. I believe you can't get one here and drive it over as they cane you with duty?

So I'd say go for it my man. You only live once! Albeit you are at the beginning of the runway They are tremendous fun.

Mike's D with 161bhp and goodness knows what torque will be a stealth flying machine. But diesels never sound much, price you pay.

Problem is, you'll start wanting to tweek and mod it. Although your insurance may preclude that.

Ah missed the part he sold it already, apologies

But I stand by my point - Iíd buy a sensible car for a few years and save the several grand you will be paying in insurance till I can put it into the car. Even if that means still buying a R53 and spend on upgrading that car. But Iím an incredibly boring accountant stock trader who started investing his pension at 18 and analyses the price of everything if OP wants to buy with the heart go for it

Yup black eye purple. And tbh I donít think 4500 is too bad for what it is, like they donít seem any cheaper in the Uk!
Yea I kind of have the same idea why not try it at least. I can try it for a year and Iíd itís too expensive I can always sell it on!

JackDaniels my mind says to do what your saying, but Iím a massive car guy and a diesel just doesnít excite me

There is a thread running this evening on the FB Group - R53 Owners Club about the rarest colour for R53s. Black Eye Purple (BEP) is right up there as rarest. And British Racing Green, which mine is, although I don't think that is anything like as rare.

This one? That link didn't work for me.
https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sal...-drop/18750910

It looks a very nice car. Great colour.

40 mpg - in your dreams!!

Observations:
Pano roof
Chrono pack
Centre arm rest
Think half leather was the basic trim offering
Uniroyal Rainsport3s - these are really great tyres. I got a set recently. Amazing in the wet (which you get a bit of!!) and great in the dry.

Looks like it's been up for 40 days or so? Make a cheeky offer and go for it.

Yeah thatís it! Haha yea knew it would never get near 40.
And because itís up for so long is why I was thinking I could get it for 4-4500!
Going to view it Friday, will update you if I go ahead with it.
