Just got back from thrashing the s3 about. I had it for 4 hours. The car is absolutely amazing, it pulls through the gears like a steam train, the handling is very very good. I had it on a big roundabout today at lets just say above average speeds and the car felt like it wanted more, and more it just kept gripping and gripping
Clutch and gearbox are extremely light, excellent driving position, it felt on par with my mini in terms of accelleration but after 60 it really picked up. Also the brakes were very impressive, it stopped better than mine with the porsche brakes
I think this is the car for me.
My only problem is which colour?
Sprint blue or white?
Cant get the car until my 21st which is in august which is a while to wait

i use V-Power 99 RON, and top this up to 103/104 RON with Aldons Octane Booster on the track (35:1). I've used Tesco 99 RON on occassion.
.
This suits my needs fine. I tend not to 'rag it' on the road - yeah, right !!

Cheers,
K.

Qtr Mile Results - 3 Runs, TC Off

60ft: 2.8 secs
Qtr Mile ET: 15.9 secs
Qtr Mile MPH: 97.2 mph

I made sure these tests conditions were as close to the last tests as possible and it was interesting to note the times were slower using V-Power. However, the fuel consumption whilst running 3 tanks of V-Power was so much better than the Tesco 99. In fact it's scary how many extra miles per tank you get.

Although the difference in times between V-Power and Tesco 99 are marginal I still think it is possible to tell through the butt dyno that Tesco 99 is quicker. V-Power seems to make the car run smoother overall whereas on Tesco 99 it can, especially when the car is cold, feel like its running a bit rough, quick, but rough... could that be the extra bio-ethanol, the higher final boiling point... who knows, all I know is for smoothness buy V-Power for quickness buy Tesco 99.

I use Tesco 99 as a rule having had a bad experience on VPOWER. ( now more than ever convinced that the fuel labled as VPower , wasn't ).

I had to fill on BP Ultimate and was pleasently surprised how good the car felt. Nothing scientific here, just feeling based opinion.
