New Works - Tyres too narrow?

Hi,

I pretty much had my heart set on a new Works 3dr. I test drove one and liked it a lot, but being a test drive it's not like I could have driven it too hard.

I've since noticed the car only has 205 wide tyres, which seems way too small, especially as there is no mechanical LSD.

Do any owners find this to be the case and once you start pushing hard grip is just too low?

Thanks

Manufacturers do many hours of R & D on the types of tyres to use for best overall usage.

I've not had any problems with 205 tyres but then I don't tend to drive like that.

You could always change the tyres to something you like.

Did you test drive with run flats or non run flats?

Changing same size tyres from run flats to non run flats high performance tyres will make a significant difference to grip and feel.

I think 205-215(/45/17) is the sweet spot for these cars.
Get some good summer tires in that size
like Michelin PSS or PS4 and you’ll be
very pleasantly surprised.

Do you know if 215 45 R17 will fit on standard OEM fit alloys without rubbing?
