Does this Mini have a dead battery?

2018 Mini Cooper Countryman w/ about 11K miles.

Over the last two mornings, when I tried to open the doors, it would take a while for the key fob to unlock the car.

About an hour ago, I tried unlocking the car with the key fob. No luck. I changed out the battery in the key fob. Again, no luck.

I used the mechanical key to get in the vehicle. Held up the key fob to the designated location at the side of the steering wheel. Stepped on the brake and push the start/stop lever. No luck.

Does that mean the car battery is dead or is it something else? Please advise.

Get the battery recharged or have it tested if you think it's the battery.

The car is still under warranty, you should take it back to Mini and not deal with it yourself.

It is unlikely to be a dead battery in a car so young. As has been said, have it examined and repaired under warranty.
