Great site
One question from it
They recommend checking oil when "the engine is warm but not hot ie after having stopped it for not less than 15 minutes and up to 1 hour"

What would be the difference from checking it when completely cold ?

i always check from cold always have done, guess heat expands things a tad but still would not think would make a difference, bit stupid thing to write really to tell someone to start a car before checking oil level could come back and bite someone on the arse with engines that by design use some oil, i've always checked oil on anything i move that i dont know for sure has enough oil in it its correct practice,
