DIY Battery Replacement

Hi all I need to replace the battery on my 2011 cooper S, the battery in the car is a AGM (stop/start). The car does not have a stop/start system, is this the usual for this car? or can i replace it with a normal battery ?

Any help would be appreciated

If it's got an AGM, it should be replaced with an AGM, also coded in. Most Battery places will do this. AGM have different charge rates to liquid electrolyte.
