Diagnosing why rear squirter isn't squirting

Hi,

2005 R53

My front windscreen squirter / washers work fine, but no water comes out of the rear one when I try.

I can hear the squirter motor running when I engage the steering column control for the rear window washer but no water emerges on the rear window and there doesn't seem to be water dripping anywhere when I fire-up the rear window-washer.

I've removed the rear wiper and checked the very final part of the pipework for blockages and there doesn't seem to be anything in the way so I'm a bit stuck what to try next.

Does anyone have any suggestions where I might investigate?

Thanks,

Steve

Try a thin cable, like a bicycle gear or brake cable, down the washer jet.
It goes vertically through the motor & then 90degrees to the tubing to the front reservoir.
Otherwise, it's a blockage near the reservoir - a bit tricky to get to. Try some not-too-hot water or methylated spirits / alcohol.
Common problem, by the way.

It’ll be the spindle blocked on the wiper motor.

Be careful.
That happened ti me on a Golf VI all boot was leacking and smell wett the conduit was broken.
Try to identify removing the boot door panels and fix the pipe if its broken.
