I think thats OK actually. Merc have a brown, and Ive seen it on a CLS and it does look cool. As does the brown on the 5 series.

I think it will be a niche colour, and I think maybe that's what they're going for, it does allow for more diversity. It would be nice for them to add some more vibrancy to the colour palette, a wider range of "base colours", not just hues and tones. So in that respect, being the only brown in the range, this is a positive move.

Hot Chocolate? Looks much like a dark bronze to me.

My favourite though is courtesy of Renault - they offer an interior colour they call "greige" - somewhere in between grey and beige (I'll let your imagination do the rest!)

Nope - it's unbelievably bland, neutral, boring, uninspiring and insipid.......

Actually, I must correct myself. Have just returned from a run to town, where I followed a Cooper S in this shocking colour - and now I realise that it is indeed worse than the Renault greige

The number plate (over here it's 2 letters then 4 numbers) was SH****, so I guess the lady driving it has a sense of humour!

I don't believe that my eyes decieve me just yet, but I think that Sparkly Silver is rather nice.

My dealer had a specced down One at its recent launch, finished in SS with a set of decent alloys, and I thought that it would make a great entry into the world of Mini ownership.

Incidentally, I attended the final factory tour before the re-tooling shutdown, and noted that of some 150-odd cars on the production line, the least popular colour was none other than Mellow Yellow with just a single example on the line.

The other new colours, Nightfire Red, Oxygen Blue and the aforementioned Sickly Silver, all had a liberal scattering throughout.

Just thought you might like to know.

Thanks for that, Harpo

My dealer here says his first Nightfire Red model will arrive in August, which I find quite a surprise

(Oops, wandering way off the thread - sorry!)

It's not a bad looking colour in my view, but I wouldn't chose it, it would be bottom of the list*.

It isn't as bad as I was expecting from the discussion, but I still wouldn't get it. Better than most of the grey/silvers though.
