I'm leaving the suspension as standard as I hear it kills the ride on 17" wheels.

Good choice. I have a PW/B S and love, love, love it.

To begin with I wasn't overly bothered for the black lounge leather but the Mister wanted it (not that he drives my car) and I'm glad I went with it. When I picked the car up for the first time the lounge leather was the first thing I noticed - it is really striking. It is more wearable that I expected (very large black dog with muddy body/paws). At the moment I stick blankets on the back seat for her as I can't find any seat covers that fit. I only have two seats in the back too to give it more of a sporty look. I definitely think it was worth it.

DAB - I ordered the DAB as I wanted the factory fit. You still get the FM/AM radio too. To be honest I haven't really had a lot of time to sit down and play with the car audio and set it up properly but noticed that in my area I only get certain stations and no BBC ones which is a bit irritating but that may be more of a RTFM from me (I live in North Herts and DAB in the house is brilliant). I must do this at the weekend.

Also, if you have gone for the 6xCD option - you still get the single CD option too. I assumed that was down to MINI not having thought of what else to put in the gap. OK if you have a full 6xcd and want a change!

Please don't say PW/B is a hairdressers car lmao

Thanks Mini_Flower. I might drop the DAB and get a little portable unit to plug into the AUX port, especially if reception isn't great compared to a house-bound unit. Just don't know if I can justify the lounge leather - it does look good, but damn, it's expensive!

Matt,

There are some Tuscan Beige leather pics here:

(You might want black to contrast with your white car - but I hope these help.)

yup, I'd go for black. These look good - but in black, not much different to the half/half...

Just take your time so that the sales person can explain all the features that will be new to you. And, from experience, check that your DAB works. (The aerial connection is the likely problem if it doesn't so don't be put off by any claim that the signal is poor locally as mine now works fine, even inside a brick garage.)

And, DON'T BEND IT.

I have the DAB radio and have to say I am dissappointed. This is more to do with the unit losing the signal or struggles to get a signal (I live in London area). The sound is obviously much better that the FM radio and there are some great channels.

When ever I turn the unit on, it takes up to 5 minutes for the unit to find the stations. it seems the unit needs to log on to the signal or something like that

So I think you are better spending the money on something else

Serge

I've only ever had one momentary drop-out, cruising down the M1, and mine logs in within a second even inside the garage so I'm sorry you don't share my enthusiasm for DAB.

But I think you need the hi-fi upgrade to get the full benefit so Matt was probably right to swap if it was a case of one or the other.

It definately looks like I have a problem with my DAB as it also loses the signal in built up areas (similar sound when you lose your satelite feed) so will go back to the dealership. I do appreciate the better sound quality though.

picked her up yesterday.

WOW! She's a lot of fun. Coming from a R50 MCS, the power delivery is very differrent. Pepper white/black growing on me. Love the sports button and anth. roof and piano black interior works really well.

Pics to follow as soon as it stops raining.

Next - off to Phil to get Vipers. Question is, to pinstripe or not to pinstripe!
