I had the same dilemma about xenons. The current best replacement is the Philips Xtreme Power. They win awards!
A massive improvement over standard!

P.s I'm forever harping on about them. I don't work for Philips

Where's best place to buy them? And we need H4 for the R56/R57? I got the Philips +50% bulbs in my current MINI, but they are all H7 They have also been very reliable - only one blown bulb in nearly 5 years use......

Not here much any more

That's great - and to get a delivery date so soon - lucky you! Still no confirmed delivery dates for the new R57 - all we have got so far from dealer is "sometime in April"

Does one buy H4s or H7s? What is the difference?

My regret is also not getting xenons

You need one pair of H4's for the R56.

And dalboyne, the best place I found for free worldwide delivery is a company called Powerbulbs

Thanks very much for that, Triffid - great help!

Clubman now here, and the H4 bulbs ordered from Powerbulbs Including postage, they are about 8 cheaper than locally!
