Starting problems

Hello everyone,

I have Mini Cooper 1.6 Diesel (2007 R56) and I have a problem with it. It doesn't want to start engine sometimes but it cranks every time. When we finally manage to start it everything works fine and there are no errors or warning information.
That started happening after great service when we changed fuel filter. So logically we thought that problem was in it and we changed it again, but the same story repeated. Then we put transparent hoses and we saw that after some driving air appeared in fuel system. Again we changed some hoses, connections on them, crankshaft sensor, put some irreversible valves etc. but nothing changed. We talked with few mechanics and they think that problem is somewhere in those hoses and suggested us to change all that system. Btw I think that it is impossible to buy just a part of them it is necessary to buy whole system.
Did anyone have the similar problem? Do you have any ideas what to try/do? We heard that this air issue is usual thing on Peugeot 1.6 engines. One mechanic suggest us to do overhaul of pump and injectors but everything worked fine before that great service.
Maybe I should mention that this engine model doesn't have fuel pump. We were also thinking to embed it, but we concluded that it would be really ugly solution.

Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Sanja

Haven't you already got this thread running elsewhere on the board?

Why do this, it just wastes the time of people who might have helped you.
