Mini in limp mode with faultcode: 4868

Hi Guy's,

My mothers mini (N47 engine) has gone into limp mode and shows up fault code: 4868

Anyone got any ideas?

Many thanks in advance.

could be EGR related it would benefit from a clean or replacement..

P0486 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor "B" Circuit
P0487 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Throttle Position Control Circuit
P0488 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Throttle Position Control Range/Performance

these are the only codes ive found that relate to the code you have and they all point to the egr..

what code reader are you using??

Try taking the EGR valve out and give it a good clean

Ive also got a Launch creader which pulls up the exact same fault code..

I think I might take the EGR off and clean it & see if it makes any difference

Thanks

Use brake cleaner as this should dissolve the deposits from it. Keep us updated on your progress buddy and here's hoping you get a good result
