Heated Windscreen

Hi there!

Just a question, I recently purchased an R56F and I have the heating elements in my windscreen, however I can’t for the life of me make them turn on.

I have seen posts saying it’s the ‘top left button’ but my top left button is just a blanking button. I’m in the UK not sure if that makes a difference!

Thanks

Mack

In the absence of a switch, it might be that the windscreen was replaced on the car and rather than go back to fetch the correct one the fitter just chucked that one in.

That sounds most likely, my old Discovery TD5 had been fitted with a replacement windscreen with heating elements because the standard ones were not available and they had one with them 'on the shelf'. There was no wiring, switches or relays to connect it to sadly!

I have a heated windscreen in my current 2011 JCW & have had them in my previous Mini's.
They take about 30 seconds to 1 minute plus to start clearing, but after that it's happens very quickly.

How I can get faster service?
