United-Kingdom Possible coolant smell??

Hi,

We have a 2013 Cooper SD Auto that we've had from new. Recently I've noticed a sweet smell in the car after its not been used for a few hours/overnight

I think this smell is coolant, but I can't find any leaks or feel any leaks in passenger foot wells (i was thinking a faulty heater matrix or core). I've been marking the coolant tank and there is no visible change or loss in coolant.

I also can't smell coolant though the vents.

The heater is working normally and the car is driving OK.

Before I take it into the garage, is there anything else it could be?

Thanks

might find the header tank filler cap is faulty venting pressure for cooling system and your heater inlet is picking it up.. another one is water pump any signs of red colour around that area
