Turbo actuator

Hi guys not sure if I'm posting in the right place. Looking for some info on a turbo actuator. It's for a 2010 countryman 1.6 cooper d. The fault has been traced to the actuator being faulty, the problem is it doesn't seem to be sold separate of the turbo and the cost of a turbo apparently is around 1300 ?.

Has anyone had this problem before and if so is there a replacement for the actuator without having to shell out for a whole turbo, especially as the turbo is fine.

I have been in contact with a turbo specialist down south but they need a part number starting with a G on the side of the aluminium housing of the actuator. The garage gave me a part number but it doesn't match what the turbo place needs ?.. Nothing is easy these days ????

It will be the diaphragm in the actuator that will be perished. I'm sure they will be available so if you have the number of the turbo then that's a start and take it from there by seeking out specialists who rebuild turbos or sell turbo parts.
