United-Kingdom Mini One Battery Drain: 2011 year

BMW tells me our Mini One is waking itself up regularly and causing a continuous battery drain, but requires another three hours of very expensive diagnostics to pin down the problem, and even then they cannot guarantee they will find the problem.

The car is dated 2011.

After replacing the battery, we disconnected the battery when the car is not being unused, and now the dashboard shows the ABS light in yellow.

Does anyone have any ideas?

We're trying to find a fix without spending a fortune with BMW.

How long has the car been like that?

Have you added/removed anything from the car's electrical system?

What was the last thing done to the car before the battery drain?

If the ABS or anything triggering it is not faulty then clearing the code should do it.

first job would be work out which circuit is waking the bcm up from sleep, below link a must have tool for this, you can plug in to the fuses one at a time let car sleep then see if that circuit has a amp drain on it and how much, 250ma is normal but anything above 500ma ie half a amp is not,

the abs light should switch off after car as moved about 100 yards as takes that long for abs and ecu to talk and work out its all moving as such,
you changed the battery did you have it encoded also by leaving ot unplugged it will lose the code and need resetting again this can bring car off sleep as ecu will be searching for the very power it needs to be set as such,,
you would be better off buying a solar panel leave it on dash connected to battery when not being used rather than disconnect, also devil advocate if car got stolen with battery off it not protected by its alarm etc they wont pay out,
link below for solar panel good value,
