2007 Mini Cooper D limp mode with no EML

Hoping you guys can help me,

I’ve got a 2007 r56 Mini Cooper D, it’s developed a fault where I can start the car and drive for a couple of minutes as normal then it will lose power and not rev over 3k. It doesn’t get any warning lights on when this happens, I can turn the car off and back on again and it will drive ok for a few minutes then same again back into limp mode.

I’ve fitted a new fuel filter hoping it was something simple.
My mam has the same car so I’ve tried swapping Maf, boost sensor, throttle body including boost pressure sensors and still same fault.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Sounds the same as mine was a couple of months ago. Turbo boost control valve was faulty didn't throw up eml and no codes at first until it got really bad.

I've had a break though, when i disconnect the EGR electrical connector the car works as it should and doesn't go into limp mode.

I've tried changing the EGR motor or whatever it is from the other car and that doesn't fix it but when i disconnect it, its fine!

Would you's say to try changing the full EGR system with cooler and the vac pipe that goes to the inlet?
