Europe Best Spark Plug for R56 (N14 B16 engine)

Hi there

I like to know from you what is the best spark plugs for this engine. If you consider more than one for by example not tuned and tuned ECU explain it.

The N14 B16 is the same engine that mine EP6DTS, same spark plug to the 175HP engine version on the NGK catalogue. But I looking for better spark plug for fuel economy/quicker acceleration. Don't matter if need to change it all the 30.000km service

Don't know if the iridium ones from R56 JCW will work better than the Basic Platinium ones...
(We EP6DTS owner have some problem with the standart ones if driving alot at the city)

Thank you

Are these better than the stock NGK's? What to they offer in the way of an upgrade?

You won't get improved fuel consumption or more power from a spark plug alone.

What's the point of upgrading plugs then? Or is it just that direct injection engines don't really benefit from better plugs?

Well they may last longer I guess... and you may get a placebo effect.

You only need to upgrade when running a lot more power than stock. I'm not sure R56 tuning has gotten to a point where they are required yet.
