Hi all
Just taken possession (actually my wife has), of a 2011 Cooper S Countryman with 77 000 km on the clock. Like many cars in New Zealand it is ex Japan therefore some adjustments need to be made like local language, radio bandwidth etc. This car did not come with an owner's manual but I am reading through one I downloaded from the web. The car looks nice, drives nice, has loads of features however one of these "features" has stumped me. About 15 seconds after starting the engine, a vocal message, in Japanese, (female voice), is broadcast. I have no idea what this is or where to turn it off or at least turn it into English. I've gone into settings and changed the default language to English but that has made no difference.

Any ideas anyone?

Cheers Ken.
