i own a countryman F60 Diesel. my car has a strange problem with the wheel alignment. my dealer changed the tyres free of cost accepting his fault. even after changing the tyres i saw a problem. can someone explain this please.
for understanding better, lets consider, dealer A, and dealer B.
i sent the car to dealer A, he checked with the wheel alignment and given a report as per the attachment no.1. It shows that under Camber - final measurement, target data is " -1°17' "
when i sent the car to dealer B, he checked the wheel alignment and given a report as per the attachment no.2. It shows that under Camber - final measurement, target data is " -1°48' "
my question is two dealers are targeting two different target data. which one is correct and which one is wrong? if both are correct, how? i tried contacting BMW MINI but their answer is not satisfactory as they are not willing to support.
Wheel alignment is a complicated affair .
It is not unknown for the cars to leave the factory out of spec.
Why did you have yours checked ,is it pulling to one side or wearing tyres unevenly?
I know of one car (A Citroen) that went back to the dealers several times as it was pulling to one side .
Finally it went to an independent specialist who found the rear suspension was out of spec from the factory and could not be adjusted. The car was exchanged for a another car which had the same problem.
It was a fault on the prodution line .
Did you buy it new and if so has it always had the problem,if so and the dealers canot fix it you can return the car .
