    If the car didn't come with OEM Xenon or LED then you'll probably be looking at great expense to retro fit them and to make them MOT compliant. You can also look and try for aftermarket kits. You'll probably need to find ones which are for road legal use.

    Faulty battery &/or alternator will give you that if no other faulty parts are involved. Easiest would be to get the battery and alternator load tested and go on from there.

    It would be a good idea going BMW/MINI but not sure how much it'll costs. As yours is only done 49K miles and is within the service interval I think you'll be fine. The problems comes is when people misses 2/3 services and the car is over 100K+ miles and then decide to change. Hopefully...

    Not sure how good or bad the OBD2 gauge is or specific to MINIs, but most aftermarket OBD2 gauge require special PID to show the oil temp.
