History
Bought "The Skip" in November 2018 after getting fed up of constantly having to repair my Mk6 VW Golf GTD.

It has had 5 previous owners, but only done 110,000 miles in 12 years (first reg 01 Sept 2006) and has been well looked after (until now!).

As far as I can tell, no modifications have been done to it, but the 5-speed Getrag gearbox feels very tight (almost like new) and it tracks round corners as well as my Golf (which felt like it was on rails). Can't ascertain if the Sports Suspension is fitted (which I doubt), but the existing set up feels responsive and not tired or saggy.

Standard seats are fitted and they are my 1 criticism as they do not offer much support to back, thighs or lumbar region. I shall investigate replacing these with sports seats from a Cooper or Cooper S model.

There is a bit of road noise from the tyres, which when due for replacement, will be shod with Contis as they offer superb wet grip and are quiet by comparison to other premium brands.

Currently, I have no intention of doing any engine mods as it seems to be reasonably sporty with good economy for my daily commute of 18 miles each way. However, watch this space....!
