hi,

I just got a used 02 mini cooper s and took it to the dealership only to learn that they cant install the mini alarm system on 02 models for some reasons.... any sugestions on what alarm system to install instead?... please help... not really sure what to do.. thanks!!!!!

anybody that has installed a non-mini alarm system to their car? an 2002 mini?

My '02 plate MCS came with an alarm/imobiliser installed....

I have used the Sigma M12 alarm on Minis

Not 100% certain, but I think that there *is* a factory MINI alarm available - it is just a different kit to the current one.
Some of the alarm features were incorporated into the car at some time ('04?) and older cars need a different kit - make sure the dealership checked all variants of the kit.

i double checked with the dealer and called mini customer service and they confirmed that i cant install the mini alarm system

so far i was recomended Sigma M12 and a Viper alarm system... any comments / sugestions??
