17 inch wheels to replace the 15 inch on 2011 Cooper D

Hi
Will 17 inch Mini wheels and appropriate low profile tyres fit on a mini that has 15 inch wheels?
I have a 2011 Cooper D and so will wheels for the first generation fit or do they have different stud spacing / offset? ie the Mini Minalites for R50, R52, R53?
What profile and width of 17 inch tyres are best?
Thanks everyone
Jon

Try these tyre calculatior

Do I need to use different studs and or nuts please?
they should fit, a lot of minis your model have the upgraded 17inch wheels are you looking at getting aftermarket ones or mini ones ?
Stock tyres are 205/45/17 but
215/45/17 will also fit.
1st gen had 12x1.5 lug bolts
and 2nd has 14x1.25 but your
14 mm bolts will fit through the
holes of most 1st gen wheels.
Both are 4x100 pattern.
Best to check and make sure,
especially if using older aftermarket
wheels.
