Hi All,

After some help, I’ve been having some issues with my headlights dipping now I’ve ordered a multimeter which turns up Friday to check alternater and battery.

But I saw somewhere that it could be the BCM? So looked into it and found you can get hold of them from breakers etc, so I took the code off mine and started searching just in case I might need to replace it to hopefully solve lights issue, problem is the code on my BCM is for cars without a/c option but my car has a/c! So could this be the reason for my lights issue?

Any info welcome and appreciated.

its not that easy to change a body control module with secondhand had one,, as its coded to your car and car key and alarm system etc, so cheapest way is find a known good bcm have it cloned, or better still contact BBA REMEN and they can repair the old one with better relays, its the tiny relays that over heat and fails in them, but are solder in and out and sandwiched in not straight forward job, link below for remen

its prob best and cheapest way forward, as if they can repair your old one then no encoding or programming needed plug and play,, just heads up if went to mini, £600 for ecu. £180 for diagnostics. £180 programming.. even if bought secondhand one mini cant clone and wont so need to go to specialist they charge around £180 mark plus cost of ecu,
i would also if were you check the indicator stalk unit comms unit is not at fault

The indicator stalk comms unit is that located in the stalk or somewhere else. Sorry for the possibly daft question?
