2002 R50 Mini Cooper Electrical Issues

Hi, I'm Alan and I am new to this forum. I have got a 2002 Mini Cooper and I am having electrical problems with it at the moment. Firstly, without the key being in the ignition, all of the ignition lights stay on, I have changed the ignition switch but this has not cured the problem. Secondly when I switch off the engine and remove the key the engine stays running? The steering has stopped working but the pump can be heard running still even when the keys are out of the ignition. Am I correct in thinking that the BCM could be at fault?

Thanks, Alan.

How did you go Allan? Was it the BC Module?

I've had this before on an MR2 and it was caused by a broken engine earth lead.
