Hey guys!

I’ve recently just bought my first ever Mini Cooper. It’s an 02 plate and although I love it I’m having an issue with the remote locking.

I can lock/unlock the car via key in the door but I cannot open anything via the remote key.

I’ve replaced the battery and tried linking it holding the unlock/lock buttons like guides have told me but I’ve still had no luck.

I then heard about the receiver being in the rear view mirror so I took it off and opened it up but there’s literally nothing in there?

I’ve tried so many sites for info and I’m confused as to where the receiver actually is and how to get it working again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I’m sorry for the long rant ?

Hey, so I went though the handbook and it didn’t tell me anything of use.

I’ve tried linking the key over and over but still no luck. ?

I think I may have to take it to a garage but I don’t want to be charged a ridiculous price to get my key working.

Any other ideas?
