2005 Mini cooper 6 speed bushing replacement

I am going to replace my 2004 shifter box with a 2005 shifter box and put new aftermarket bushings in it. I would like to know the best way to remove the old bushings from the end of the 2005 cables, that attached to the transmission?

I don't know why no one has replied to this simple question after six days, but when a car needs fixing the answer needs to be given or helped. Now i have waisted six days of my life and no resolve.I will be joining another forum thank you.
