I have read ALL of the post - and there are a lot - around how to fix the convertible top issue where it only opens halfway. I have confirmed the latches in the truck area are all pushed down/engaged and i get no blinking like when i hit the open after halfway. When I hit the open again i just get NOTHING. I have checked all fuses and they also seem fine and the first part of opening convertible and closing works without issue. ANY ADVICE? Please and MUCH appreciated

Sandra,

I have a Mini Copper 2011 convertible with the same problem. Someone told me the Hall sensors are to blame. Just had the timing chain replaced for $1500 so am not ready to fork out another $1000 - $2000 for a top repair. I don't think its something I can fix myself ! My handle is Love because I love this car but Hate is for the expensive repairs and BMW making everything so #[email protected]! complicated.
