Does anyone know how to initialise a new fob. I went into my local BMW garage and paid £195 for a additional keyfob, on collection I was told I needed to initialise the fob and instructions are in user manual, for the life of me I can't find anything other than how to personalise settings.
I've checked all the usual google and youtube places and all want me to turn the key to KLR but I can't turn my key as it's a fob
Does anyone know the page number or can tell me the process

check youtube theres videos on there showing how, ive done it before but cant remember the sequence it was too long ago, but got the info from youtube

Well I have got the key to work after watching a few videos
1st video - Says, got key, shows unboxing putting fob in press start, car starts repeats this 3 times and says leave on for 10 mins
2nd video - shows fob in, fob out, fob in press start, car starts
What I did go to car unlock with original fob, put in new, nothing happens, look throughout the night for information on Google and Youtube and post to Forum
Next day go to car try key from fob in door set alarm off annoying neighbours, silence with original fob, sit in car try new fob in (No Lights) fob out, fob in it lights up, press start, car starts, fob in and start twice more then on the 3rd start take car for a 15 minute drive
Fob now locks, unlocks and starts car
