2016 Countryman no rear signage

Hi. Just bought a 2016 Countryman but my friend pointed out it doesn't say "Countryman" on the back of the car. Why is that?

Previous owner probalby removed them, opted not to have them or fell off/got stolen.

I checked BMW prices for the letters, nearly choked on the free coffee they gave me.... so I bought aftermarket letters for $4 and stuck them on myself. Slightly different style, but they haven't fallen off, despite 5 car washes over the past few months! :)
