2020 Countryman JCW Wind Noise

Hi all
I picked up my brand new mini countryman jcw this week and took it on a long drive today.

I realised that at 60mph+ there is excessive wind noise in the cabin.

Is this normal?

The countryman is not exactly aerodynamic ... you will get used to that over time.

So would you say it's normal? I'm just concerned that there is a fault with my particular one.
If the noise comes from a specific location (like a window, sunroof, mirrors) then it might be a small defect in your specific case ... but if it is general, like omnipresent, then it's just the "normal" situation.

My leasing is about to come to an end so I'm now testing various cars to order and , to be honest, I'm amazed how quiet all the cars (from the premium segment) are compared to my countryman. Both rolling noise and wind noise are much reduced in other brands, including BMW own equivalent models (X1 and X2).

No I cant say it's coming from a specific location. I cant pinpoint it. Overall after certain speed it's noticeable.

I guess its just normal then :(
Can’t say as mine bothers me at all in fact I find it quite relaxing in the cruise! Had it over a year.
I can hear some wind noise when driving my Cooper S Exclusive Countryman.
It does not bother me and it is not excessive.
I generally have my radio or music playing so never becomes an issue.
