Hi everyone,

I have just received a letter in the post explaining that I can extend my warranty now (3 years old in July). I'm going to extend it. I have been checking out whats covered and whats not on their website

Before trying to speak to the dealer (which I always find hard anyway!), do you think the fact that the warranty does not cover "All exhaust components (except Catalytic Converter)" I would be ok to buy a cat back exhaust (maybe the Miltek one)?

I know a lot of guys on here have them on cars under 3 years old. I was always a bit paranoid! But now mine is over 3 years, and they state they will not cover any exhaust components, I'm ok to?

Please let me know what you think

Cheers
Tom

Before you go spending loads on a very expensive MINI warranty, have you tried elsewhere first?

As at the end of the day, warranty is just an insurance on your car breakdown, so there are other companies out there that do this too, and at better prices;)

Have a read of this before you do anything else, I believe they also cover the mods you do as long as you let them know about them;)

warranty direct maybe half the price but its a real hassle, as you have to claim it back and pay for bmw to find out whats wrong, i had it for 2 years, and found if i had taken minis it would have been nearly 1k cheaper for me all in
