Hi, i'm currently insured with MINI's own insurnace company, and was put down as a provisional driver on the certificate.

Well now that i've passed, do i need to tell them? because my dad was the one who sorted all of it out and he doesn't seem to think i need to, but i'm worried i could be driving without insurance here.
Would i be uninsured until i notify them?

And also, it says i can drive any other car 3rd party, do i have to be over a certain age for that? because i'm only 17 atm

Thanks

Call and check, they make their own rules most of the time so it's hard to tell unless you check with them directly. I can drive another car 3rd party, but I'm not sure whether that car has to be insured or not.

Most insurance policies state that you should immediately inform them of any change in circumstances - best to give them a quick call and get them to update your data.

Most policies also have an age limit for driving other cars on 3rd party and again are generally limited to cover for the main policy holder.
