Aftermarket Stereo on HK car - No sound?

Hello all,

Recently purchased an aftermarket Sony BT headunit for my other half's R50 1.6 Mini Hatch. The car comes with HK from factory and already sounds pretty decent but not being able to stream music from her phone was a bit annoying, so hence the upgrade.

The problem is that once the new stereo is paired up with all the necessary leads, it makes no sound regardless of the volume level. I think it is something to do with the HK system, perhaps a different lead might need to be used or something could be tripping a protection? My sister had the same type of Mini before but without HK and when I installed her Sony headunit it all worked perfectly as you should expect.

Any input on this would be highly appreciated.

EDIT: Think I might have figured it out, I need a HK Enabler? (£80 or so!?)
