Have a couple of small scratches on one alloy, and wanted to seal them with something clear so they don't get worse over time - any ideas?

Steal some clear nail polish lacquer stuff from your missus and fill it in! You never know, I might have some in my extensive make-up kit!

The Halfords Kit is OK but you'll never get it looking too good. You have to sand down the scratches, fill, sand again, mask wheel and respray. You'd be better off getting ChipsAway/Dent Devils/Paint Technik or Wicked Wheels franchise to repait it if it's only one wheel.

The guys at Cobham BMW were very helpful, and a new wheel (15" Silverstone) is only GBP68 plus valve and balance...

May just go for a new wheel!
