After posting a few threads, ive just replaced my wave system with a Alpine CDA 9831R & Alpine Interface. The results are excellent, the ipod interface is excellent no firmware to install just plug and play. Thanks to everyone who replied i will post pics soon

I've got the 9831 as well, and i'm getting the alpine iPod interface for christmas. Would be interested to see some pics of it.
