there are many around for sale etc, but need to have a perspective ie just how many cars have been built over the years and how many 18 years later are still on the road still its a lot, every mini i have ever had and its been a lot have always sold in first week of advertising thats a good sign of a few things, ie people want to buy them, also realistic prices ie people with 2007 cooper s car with 100k and no timing chain done etc asking over 3k for them so these cars just sit there until they decide to ebay auction them and find they sell for around 2k and only if a sorted car with mot and history etc, also so many people think they can sell a car with a warning light or a £1000 fault on it by playing ot down in the add or just rudely pretend they dont know nothing etc, only way to sell any car is when its right and sorted not when its on last legs in my book, as for looking on line at all the problems the trouble is here people dont tend to spend time telling of a good year owning a car its always the bad stuff that gets pushed forward with words like death rattle etc and this car has been nothing but a problem loads repaired etc,, when reality was a DIY repair guy when car misfires goes and spends money on spark plugs coil packs 02 sensors etc and dont fix the real issues in first place from not owning a good dealer level diagnostic tool or take to someone who knows what they are doing,, ie most if had changed the timing around 60.000 miles would of saved all that hassle and found the car is a pleasure to drive,,
some people and o have had it will not buy a mini that has just had timing chain replaced at 60k because the AA and RAC guides to buying a car, hmmm a 3-4 year old car says its a bad sign of been abused etc and then moan when they have £1000 bill for timing chain replace form dealers,, i've had someone turn up see its had a chain and tell me walking away due to it,,and then the other people who have some brain cells that understand what they are buying are over the moon its all sorted for next 5 years 60k,,, always look for the cars that have just had chin done and high pressure pump etc it makes sense,, must have paperwork to prove, or as i do leave the old parts in a box in the boot to prove done,
