A friend of mine picked up his new M3, and I must it is a beautie and goes like the clappers. Anyway to cut a long story short the rear axle and limited-differential where faulty causing a nasty noise every time he took a left hander at any pace...

The dealer happened to have this part in stock, even though tere where only a handful of the cars in the UK at the time and swiftly replaced it... The problem was poor build quality of the original part...he wasn;t the only person to have this changed for the record...

The moral of this story is that us MINI owners aren't out here alone. Those who have paid 3 or 4 times what we have on BMW branded products also suffer from teething problems... What I ask myself is why do 'quality' goods always seem to go wrong?????
